9 Methods for a Quick Body Detox

Body detox, natural detox, detox program, detox cleanse, diet detox

  1. Deep Breaths Practicing taking long, deep breaths brings oxygen to your body, including vital organs such as your heart, liver and kidneys. Oxygen is great at allowing these organs to maintain optimal performance.
  2. Dry Brush Your Skin Yes, there are brushed out there meant to specifically remove toxins from your skin. These brushes often have long handles and should be used in a circular motion. For maximum benefit, start brushing your limbs first and work your way to your heart. The circulation stimulates your lymphatic system causing toxins to be expelled through the skin.
  3. Try the Lemonade Diet This diet is only 10 days long and involves major flushing. You will feel it working starting on the first day. You will not be eating anything during this body detox, but that lemonade is surprisingly tasty!
  4. Exercise Doesn’t it seem like exercise is the solution to everything! Exercise is a great body detox because it causes you to sweat. Sweat is one way that your body expels toxins from its system.
  5. 8 Glasses a Day Water enters your body pure and leaves your body tainted with wastes. This is a good thing! The more times you go to the bathroom per day, the more toxins you release from your body.
  6. Drink Green Tea Green tea is full of antioxidants. Besides just cleansing your body, green tea improves concentration, speeds up your metabolism and fights infection.
  7. Consume Fiber Fiber is known for making you regular, if you know what I mean. If water makes you pee, then fiber makes you poo and despite the smell, it removes a ton of waste from your body. Fiber can be found in cereals, fruits, vegetables and brown rice.
  8. Take Vitamin C Vitamin C is a popular remedy to relieve cold symptoms, but it is often overlooked as a way to detox your body. Taking the recommended dosage indicated on the back of the bottle will allow you to detox naturally with little effort.
  9. Sit in Mud Don’t just sit in it, dunk your whole body in it! Mud works because it absorbs toxins from your skin. Wait until the mud dries and then wash it off. I know, I know, you do not have a ton of mud just laying around. Fortunately, your local spa does, and they are just waiting to give your body the pampering it deserves.
