Don’t Abuse Detox Tea!
These days, there is such a focus on being in shape and it is a social faux pas to be overweight. Many people don’t feel confident enough to come out of their homes because they are so ashamed of their weight, and others have resorted to drastic methods to try and take off the pounds as quickly as possible. There are a few things that work and a few that don’t, but one thing that is out there that you must be careful about is a detox tea.
Laxative teas are made up of a series of different types of natural herbs and spices, but some can be incredibly harsh. They can upset your stomach, cause painful cramps, and even diarrhea. Detox teas are not a healthy way to lose weight over any long term period. This is because they flush out toxins really quickly, but in the process, they also flush out much needed vitamins and minerals, and you can lose so many of these that you end up really sick.
Herbal detox tea, because of its anti-microbial properties has also been proven to show some positive results in preventing and treating many problems resulting from acne. It is not a cure all for acne, as it does not work for any cause other than bacterial. Acne is not only caused by bacteria. Sometimes it is from ingrown hairs or dry skin, and the tea will not have any effect on these stressors.
When used in moderation, and in accordance with the product labeling, a detox tea can effectively cleanse toxins from the system over a short period of time. This type of cleanse will typically leave you feeling refreshed and build your tolerance against parasites. Do not exceed the recommended usage time for any type of laxative.
