The lemonade diet consists of fasting for one to two weeks to remove toxins that originate from stress, caffeine, junk food, alcohol, and carbonated beverages. The lemonade diet mixture is actually really easy to make. The only thing it basically requires is lemons, maple syrup, cayenne pepper and a high water intake!
This lemonade diet is not an easy thing to do, especially if you really love to eat. You do not have to worry about being hungry while you are doing this, but you may miss the habit of eating. As long as you only use the cleansing lemonade for the recommended time, you will be just fine other than being tempted by the foods around you.
Beyonce was quoted as saying, “I lived on water, cayenne pepper and maple syrup for 14 days. It was tough; everyone was eating and I was dying.”
It is highly recommended that you drink at least 6-8 glasses of this mixture per day while on the lemonade diet. For best results, fast for 7-10 days. For the more experienced, the detox can be extended up to 14 days. Always check with your doctor or natural practitioner before and during a detox.
