Is the Banana Diet Safe?

The banana diet has long been used in Japan to help people lose weight naturally. One opera singer lost a total of 15 pounds in just a few weeks eating nothing but the banana diet. This is an easy and inexpensive diet that most anyone can benefit from. The banana diet has a few rules that must be followed like any other, that are listed below.
Rules
1. Eat more than one banana in the morning, but do not get full or have discomfort from eating too many.
2. Eat only uncooked and unfrozen fresh bananas on the banana diet.
3. If you become hungry a half hour or so later, you can eat a half cup of rice or oatmeal to supplement the diet.
4. Eat normal lunch and dinner meals. This means dinner has to be eaten by 6 in the evening in order to give your body time to digest the food prior to sleeping.
5. There are no limits on the types of food or amounts of food to be eaten at lunch or dinner. It should be noted that in order for this diet to work, you have to lay off fried foods.
6. The only beverage you are allowed to have at any time is water; filtered or mineral water is best and must be at room temperature.
7. Water is only used to drink in small sips and not to finish off a meal.
8. DO not drink milk, but you can have a glass of wine daily. Non caloric drinks like tea or coffee are allowed outside of meal times, But water is encouraged as much as possible.
The banana diet is considered safe, as you are not cutting out any meals or calories from your diet, but substituting healthier foods for the start of your day and cutting down the amount of empty calories you take in at meals.
