Master Cleanse Detox and Lose Weight
Cleansing with the master cleanse detox is a rigid but turnkey approach for those who need discipline.
Many people want to know how to lose weight fast and easy. A master cleanse detox is one of the most effective ways to lose weight quickly. This extreme lemonade diet is not for everybody. It requires limiting your caloric intake to a lemon based liquid drink for as many days as you continue the master cleanse detox. It is challenging in that it is very limiting and requires discipline. However, because it is so specific it may be easier for some people to stick to as it takes the guess work out of dieting and creates extreme focus.
The following is a basic breakdown of the master cleanse detox program that will give an overview of the steps so you can start as soon as tomorrow.
The master cleanse detox has gone in and out of popularity for many years. Some people do a master cleanser because they want to lose weight. Others do it to detoxify or rid their bodies of impurities or old waste that has built up over time. Whatever your reason for this, the steps are the same and they are simple to describe and may be more a challenge in practice.
The process is simple. After three days of easing yourself into the cleanse, (more on that below) – you will subsist on the following lemonade drink:
- Recipe:
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp fresh maple syrup
- 1/10 tsp cayenne pepper (to taste)
- 8 oz. water
Mix this in a large glass and drink while it is fresh. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep yourself hydrated and feeling full. It is best to mix your lemonade drinks fresh throughout the day as a key to the cleanse is the live enzymes in the fresh lemons. Use lemons at room temperature when preparing your lemonade. If you cannot make your lemon drink fresh because you are at work or out, it is best to mix the fresh lemon and syrup but wait to add the cayenne pepper until you plan to drink.
In addition to drinking the master cleanse detox lemonade drink, it is important to flush the toxins out of your body with bowel movements. Because you won’t be eating fiber during your cleanse – you must do one of the following: You can take laxatives – choose herbal laxatives and start with the recommended amount -you can up the dosage until you get the desired result. It is very important to flush the toxic waste that has built up in your body our of your system. This is a natural and healthy result of this diet.
You can do a saltwater flush. If you choose to do a saltwater flush, you will make your own saltwater solution by adding approximately one to two teaspoons (adjust as needed) of non-iodized sea salt to a one-liter water bottle. You may find yourself needing to use the bathroom almost immediately so don’t do this part of your master cleanse detox at work! The saltwater solution is indigestible so the results of your bowel movement will not be pretty but that is normal.
How long should you do the master cleanse detox?
It is generally recommended that you do the master cleanse detox for up to 10 days for optimum results. People have done it for longer than that and much shorter. Even a few days should produce results. People report feeling irritable at first often and somewhat lightheaded. Whenever you feel weak or lightheaded, drink more lemonade. Usually a couple of days into the program, people find themselves feeling a sense of clarity and empowerment.
Now, back to the easing in process mentioned above. When embarking on the intense process, it is a good idea to do the following:
- 3 days before you start – eat only natural, live foods focusing mostly on vegetables or low sugar fruits. Avoid meats, and any processed food.
- 2 days before you start – limit your food intake to liquids such as soups, broths, juiced drinks and blended drinks.
- On the day before you start your master cleanse detox, drink only orange juice. If you feel weak and need more calories, you can add a bit of maple syrup to the juice drink.
Now you are ready to cleanse, and and purify your body. It is critical to do the reverse of the “ease in” when you end your master cleanse detox. Your body needs a gradual adjustment to regular foods.
So, do exactly what you did before but in reverse. On the first post cleanse day, drink orange juice, on the second, add broths and liquids, juices soups. On the third day, work up to natural foods, with a focus on vegetables and fruits. Ideally, you will continue to eat natural foods and avoid processed foods to maintain your sleek look and feeling of good health.
